Maggie Murray
McDowell graduate Maggie Murray, a sophomore at Seton Hill, was named PSAC West volleyball player of the week for the week ending Oct. 11.
Murray, a 6-foot setter/right-side hitter, led the Griffins to a 3-0 week in PSAC action. She finished the week with 94 assists (8.6 per set), 12 kills, 19 total blocks and 23 digs.
Through Oct. 15, Murray has a team-high 487 assists (6.24 per set). She also has 79 kills, 27 aces, 47 blocks and 131 digs.
Her assist-per-set total of 8.39 ranks seventh in PSAC conference games this season.
Last season, Murray compiled 53 kills and was second on the team in set assists with 123.
Murray was named to the Erie Times-News All-District 10 Team and earned First Team Region 6 All-Star honors her senior year at McDowell.
