Gannon’s Brueckner, Edinboro’s Duprat make Academic All-America teams

Gannon’s Mani Brueckner and Edinboro’s Reilee Duprat were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America women’s soccer Academic All-America teams this week.

Brueckner, a senior midfielder and three-time Academic All-American, was named to the first team. Duprat, a senior defender, was named to the third team.

Brueckner has a 3.70 cumulative grade-point average as an engineering major. She led the Golden Knights in goals (18), assists (8), points (44) and game-winning goals (6) this season. Brueckner also paced the PSAC in points per match (2.10), goals per match (0.86) and game-winning goals. She ranks 14th among all NCAA Division II players in game-winning goals, 17th in goals per match and 18th in goals per match. She is also Gannon’s all-time leader in points (137) and assists (45).

Brueckner was named PSAC Player of the Year for the third time this season after claiming the honor as a freshman and sophomore.

DuPratt is an early childhood education major with a 3.90 GPA. She played an important part in the Fighting Scots’ run to the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen. DuPratt started all 24 matches at defender, and also played some midfield. She played a key role in leading an Edinboro defense which held opponents to 29 total goals and recorded seven shutouts.

DuPratt was a three-year starter who played in 82 career matches, starting 66. She had a goal and three assists and was part of a defense that recorded 27 shutouts.

To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.3 cumulative GPA and a starter or key reserve on her team.
